FNP Representatives at the Philea Research Forum 2024

"Deputy Presidents of the Foundation for Polish Science – Marta Łazarowicz-Kowalik, Ph.D., and Tomasz Perkowski, Ph.D. – participated in this year’s Philea (formerly European Foundation Center) Research Forum Conference, held on March 7–8 in Milan and hosted by the Italian Cariplo Foundation. The Conference focused on innovations, discussing the role of foundations and philanthropic organizations in the support of activities and millieux that shape the innovation ecosystem. The Conference gathered European grant-providing organizations’ representatives who shared experiences from various regions and innovation sectors like technology, healthcare, and education. The discussion sought to visualize the various models used by foundations to foster collaboration, creativity, impact, and work for innovation in the broadest understanding. The participants talked about how foundations can increasingly become hubs for knowledge and develop new solutions to complex challenges, in close collaboration with other partners. MLK_Philea RF Marta Łazarowicz-Kowalik, Ph.D., who co-chairs the Forum, joined the final conference panel of to discuss the challenges encountered by the foundations that support innovations, along with their vision for future activities.
