"Nauka dla innowacji" ("Science for Innovation") ? a series of podcasts with the winners of the International Research Agendas programme

"Join us for a series of podcasts entitled "Nauka dla innowacji" ("Science for Innovation") featuring outstanding Polish scientists, winners of the International Research Agendas programme run by the Foundation for Polish Science and financed by European funds from the Smart Growth Operational Programme (SG OP). The series is produced in cooperation with the Polityka weekly. On 21 February, the first interview with Prof. Tomasz Bulik from the Science and Technology Center in Particle Astrophysics (AstroCeNT) and the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw was broadcast. In the podcast, Professor Bulik explains how gravitational wave astronomy has moved from a laughing stock to become a great new tool for scientific insight.

Subsequent episodes of the series will feature:

• prof. Ewelina Knapska from the Center of Excellence for Neural Plasticity and Brain Disorders (Braincity) and the Laboratory of Neurobiology of Emotion at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences;
• prof. Natalia Marek-Trzonkowska of the International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science (ICCVS) at the University of Gdańsk;
• prof. Agnieszka Chacińska from the Regenerative Mechanisms for Health (ReMedy) Centre of Excellence and the International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences;
• prof. Maciej Wojtkowski from the International Centre for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences;
• prof. Wojciech Knap from the Center for Terahertz Research and Applications (CENTERA) at the Institute of High Pressure Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The podcasts will be published on the website of the Polityka weekly in the Science section every Tuesday until the end of March this year. They will also be available via podcast platforms: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcast (use "Nauka dla innowacji" to search). Join us to listen!
